Position Overview

Sentara Healthcare is seeking a dedicated

***Registered Nurse - Cardiac Rehabilitation***

This is a full-time role with a Monday to Friday schedule, featuring day shift hours.

No on-call duties, weekends, or holidays required.

Qualifications

  • Education: BSN or MSN is preferred.
  • New Hire Education Requirement: Newly hired RNs without a BSN must commit to enrolling in an accredited RN to BSN program within 24 months of hire and successfully obtain their BSN within 5 years.
  • Licensure: RN License is required.
  • Preferred Experience: Familiarity with cardiac rhythm identification.
  • Certifications: BLS certification within 90 days of hire; ACLS certification within 1 year.
  • Specialty Requirements: Must meet and maintain specific specialty requirements, including Critical Care/IMCU ACLS within 1 year, Emergency Care - ACLS & PALS or ENPC within 1 year, and Oncology Care certifications within specified timeframes.

Role Responsibilities

The Registered Nurse (RN) is tasked with delivering a competent level of nursing care, utilizing the nursing process for assessment, diagnosis, outcomes identification, planning, implementation, coordination of care, health promotion, and evaluation. The RN adheres to professional performance standards, including ethics, culturally congruent practice, communication, collaboration, leadership, education, evidence-based practice, quality evaluation, resource utilization, and environmental health.

As a Registered Nurse at Sentara, you will have the opportunity to advance your career across various specialties, enhancing your nursing skills in areas that interest you.
