Key Responsibilities:
- Procurement Assistance: Aid in the acquisition of software and hardware, manage releases and rollouts, and communicate effectively with end users.
- Installation and Configuration: Set up computer hardware, software, and operating systems, ensuring proper configuration.
- System Administration: Oversee and maintain computer systems and networks, including driver updates and routine maintenance.
- Troubleshooting: Diagnose and resolve hardware or software issues, including network troubleshooting.
- User Support: Assist users in system setup, issue resolution, and inquiries; provide support remotely or in person.
- Product Evaluation: Assess the compatibility of various products, including computers and software.
- Training Development: Create training materials for technical topics.
- Compliance Participation: Engage in audits and compliance initiatives as necessary.
- Cross-Functional Support: Offer local assistance to other IT departments without being on-site.
- Remote Assistance: Provide support to other Qnergy locations and field service teams.
Qualifications:
- Associate degree or equivalent; certifications such as MCSE – Desktop Infrastructure or relevant desktop/laptop certifications.
- Minimum of 4 years of relevant experience in on-site IT support.
- Hands-on experience with helpdesk systems, Windows environments, MS Active Directory, VPNs, antivirus solutions, SCCM patching, and MS Office Suite.
- Familiarity with IT infrastructure, including networking, servers, databases, security, and applications.
- Strong skills in system administration and user documentation.
Essential Skills:
- Understanding of basic computer hardware, including installation and troubleshooting.
- Experience with both desktop and server operating systems.
- Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
- Strong interpersonal skills, emphasizing rapport-building and effective listening.
- Adept at conducting research on various computing issues as needed.
- Ability to convey technical concepts in user-friendly terms.
- Highly self-motivated with a strong attention to detail.
- Proven analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
- Exceptional customer service orientation and experience in a collaborative team environment.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to lift items weighing up to 40 pounds.
- Regular use of a computer keyboard is necessary.
- Position requires prolonged sitting during shifts.
- Attendance at the office or job site is a fundamental aspect of this role.
