Women's Health Nurse Practitioner
**Job Summary**
We are seeking a skilled Women's Health Nurse Practitioner to join our team at MaineHealth. The successful candidate will provide primary care services to patients, including assessing, diagnosing, prescribing, treating, and educating them. This is a challenging and rewarding role that requires strong clinical skills, excellent communication, and a passion for delivering high-quality patient care.
**Responsibilities**
* Assess and diagnose patients' health needs
* Develop and implement treatment plans
* Prescribe medications and order diagnostic tests
* Educate patients and families on health and wellness
* Collaborate with physicians and other clinicians to provide comprehensive care
* Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records
**Requirements**
* Master's degree in nursing with advanced knowledge of nursing theory and practice
* Current and valid license as a Nurse Practitioner by the Maine State Board of Nursing
* Current BLS certification
* Minimum three years of professional nursing experience
* Two years of Nurse Practitioner experience preferred but not required
**Preferred Qualifications**
* Knowledge of advanced practice of nursing, professional nursing theory, practices, and regulations related to evaluating and providing patient care
* Knowledge of patient assessment techniques, including taking medical histories, performing physicals, evaluating health status, and compliance with care recommendations
* Skill in case management, time management, problem solving, crisis intervention, multitasking, and other organizational matters
* Ability to make responsible decisions within scope of NP practice
* Strong computer skills with skill in using computerized health information management systems
* Excellent communication, interpersonal, and customer service skills
* Ability to maintain confidentiality
