About the RoleWe are seeking a Medical Assistant to join our team at QTC Health Services in Traverse City, MI. As a Medical Assistant, you will perform routine and basic front and back-office duties, including answering phones, data entry, assisting in the examination process of patients under the direction of a physician, and conducting diagnostic tests.
Responsibilities- Perform routine and basic front and back-office duties, including phones and data entry.
- Assist in the examination process of patients under the direction of a physician.
- Interview patients, measure vital signs, and record information on patients' charts.
- Draw and collect blood samples and/or urine samples from patients.
- Prepare specimens for laboratory analysis and conduct diagnostic tests.
- Graduate of an accredited vocational MA program or MA diploma.
- 0-5 years of medical assistant experience.
- National Medical Assistant certification required for Level 4.
- Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers (BLS) certification required within 30 days of starting.
- Technology-driven medical data entry system experience or related computer data entry.
Hourly rates are based on experience and education. Plus potential quarterly bonuses. Level I (0-1 years of exp. plus MA diploma) = $17.79 per hour. Level II (1-3 years of exp. plus MA diploma) = $18.6 - $19.66 per hour. Level III (3-5 years of exp. plus MA diploma) = $21.30 per hour. Level IV (5+ years of exp. plus MA certification) = $23.70 per hour.
Work EnvironmentPosition is located ONSITE at our clinic in Traverse City, MI. Shifts are from Mon - Fri 7:30 am - 5 pm ET; Saturdays as needed from 8 am - 5 pm ET.
