Role Responsibilities:


As a RESPIRATORY THERAPIST at Aspirus Ironwood Hospital, you will deliver essential respiratory and cardiopulmonary diagnostic and therapeutic services to patients across various age groups and care settings.


Qualifications:


Applicants should possess knowledge of respiratory care standards and protocols, typically acquired through graduation from an AMA-accredited Respiratory Care program with an Associate Degree. A Bachelor's Degree in Respiratory Care or Biological Sciences is advantageous.
Experience in critical care settings and familiarity with pulmonary function or cardiopulmonary laboratory practices is preferred.


Licensure Requirements:


Candidates must hold an active Michigan Respiratory Care Practitioner license. Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) or Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT) credentials are required, with RRT certification from the National Board of Respiratory Care being ideal. Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications are mandatory or must be obtained within 90 days of hire. Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certifications are preferred.

About Aspirus Ironwood Hospital:


Aspirus Ironwood Hospital is a 25-bed critical access facility that includes a multi-specialty clinic, a satellite clinic, a surgical clinic, a walk-in clinic, and a home health agency. The hospital serves a community of approximately 30,000 individuals, featuring a 4-bed ICU, a 3-bed OB unit, and 4 surgical units. Our emergency department operates 24/7, accommodating around 12,000 visits annually.
