Role Responsibilities:


As a RESPIRATORY THERAPIST at Aspirus Ironwood Hospital, you will deliver respiratory and cardiopulmonary diagnostics and therapeutic services to patients across various care settings.


Qualifications:


Applicants should possess knowledge of respiratory care standards and protocols, typically acquired through graduation from an AMA-accredited Respiratory Care program with an Associate Degree. A Bachelor's Degree in Respiratory Care or Biological Sciences is advantageous.


Experience in critical care and familiarity with pulmonary function or cardiopulmonary laboratory settings is preferred.


Licensure Requirements:


Active Michigan Respiratory Care Practitioner license is mandatory. Candidates must be a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) by the National Board of Respiratory Care or be registry eligible, obtaining certification within one year of hire. Current BLS and ACLS certifications are required or must be obtained within 90 days of hire. NRP and PALS certifications are preferred.

Aspirus Ironwood Hospital is a 25-bed critical access facility that includes a multi-specialty clinic, satellite clinic, surgical clinic, walk-in clinic, and home health agency. Our service area serves approximately 30,000 individuals, featuring a 4-bed ICU, 3-bed OB unit, and 4 surgical units. The emergency department operates 24/7 with ER physicians, handling around 12,000 visits annually.
