Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our Telemetry Regional Float Pool team. As a Clinical Nurse Specialist, you will provide holistic nursing care to patients with varying health needs, utilizing evidence-based practices and individualized care plans.

This role involves close collaboration with patients, families, and interdisciplinary teams to enhance the quality of life and ensure culturally sensitive care. With responsibilities including assessing patient conditions, educating families, and mentoring colleagues, this position emphasizes critical thinking and effective communication.

Responsibilities and Requirements

  • Provide direct nursing care in accordance with established policies, procedures, and protocols of the healthcare organization.
  • Use standards of medical-surgical nursing practice to increase the quality of care and quality of life for the patient, family, and significant other(s).
  • Establish effective relationships and serve as an advocate with the patient, family, and significant other(s) to facilitate the development of the care plan unique to the patient's care needs.
  • Develop assessment and management strategies based on a consideration of the physical, functional, cultural, social, economic, developmental, spiritual, vocational, and leisure dimensions of human responses to actual and potential health problems.
  • Demonstrate knowledge of the impact of actual or potential illness and each patient's physical, functional, cultural, social, economic, developmental, spiritual, vocational, and leisure status.
  • Utilize leadership skills by coordinating and collaborating with the patient, family, significant other(s), communities, and members of the interprofessional team in assessing needs, setting goals, planning interventions, providing care, and evaluating outcomes.

Education and Experience

  • Graduate of accredited school of nursing or education equivalency for licensing.
  • Two years of recent Telemetry experience required.
