Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate House Manager/Nurse to join our team at Dolan Memory Care Homes. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for providing overall supervision of all house activities, ensuring the safety and well-being of our residents, and promoting a person-centered care environment.

Responsibilities:

  1. Health Services:
  2. Direct caregivers in the performance of basic duties.
  3. Maintain clinical records and ensure accuracy.
  4. Ensure resident safety and security.
  5. Order medication and comply with medication administration systems.
  6. Communicate with residents' physicians and families.
  7. Coordinate with other departments for resident care.
  1. Food Services:
  2. Ensure staff follows house procedures and state regulations in meal preparation and service.
  3. Order food and supplies biweekly.
  4. Direct and supervise care partners in food service duties.
  5. Maintain documentation of menus, recipes, and tray cards.
  6. Ensure food storage compliance with regulatory agencies.
  1. General:
  2. Practice and promote positive person-centered care and customer service.
  3. Develop and implement care plans based on residents' ISP and life stories.
  4. Maintain time cards and ensure payroll accuracy.
  5. Discipline staff using policy and procedure guidelines.
  6. Handle staffing issues and ensure adequate staffing.
  7. Communicate with administrative assistant for supplies and t-shirts.
  8. Document in the communication book.
  9. Attend staff training sessions and ensure staff attendance.
  10. Attend manager meetings and make regular rounds with care partners.
  11. Responsible for all forms, documents, and charting for admissions, transfers, and discharges.

Qualifications:

  1. RN or LPN license in good standing.
  2. First Aid & CPR certification.
  3. Ability to follow and provide written and verbal instructions.
  4. 1-year positive work experience in a supervisory capacity.
  5. 3+ years' work experience in nursing and geriatric care.
  6. Experience with residents diagnosed with dementia or memory loss issues.
  7. Willing and able to work non-traditional hours periodically.
  8. Physically able to lift 50 lbs. or greater, stoop, bend, squat, and stand/walk for 8 to 12 hours.
