Floor Maintenance Specialist

Job Summary

As a Floor Maintenance Specialist with Healthcare Services Group, you will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and appearance of floors in various healthcare settings. This includes dusting, wet mopping, stripping, waxing, buffing, shampooing, extraction, and bonneting of hard surfaces and carpets in offices, resident rooms, corridors, lobbies, entrances, stairwells, and other public areas. You will also be responsible for collecting trash, recycling, and soiled linen from units and disposing of them properly. Additional tasks may include policing grounds and reporting equipment or cleaning product needs to your supervisor.

Responsibilities

• Maintain the cleanliness and appearance of floors in various healthcare settings
• Dust and wet mop hard surfaces and carpets
• Strip, wax, buff, shampoo, extract, and bonnet floors as needed
• Collect trash, recycling, and soiled linen from units and dispose of them properly
• Report equipment or cleaning product needs to your supervisor
• Policing grounds as assigned

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
• Ability to lift/carry a maximum of 50 pounds, push/pull a maximum of 50 pounds, stand, sit, bend, and walk for extended periods
• Ability to perform routine, repetitive tasks continuously
• Ability to work around food and cleaning products
• Must live in the service area
