Key Responsibilities

We seek an individual who is enthusiastic about leading teams and enhancing Apple's cloud infrastructure. You will excel in steering software product development within a globally distributed organization, delivering innovative products and features that exceed our internal customers' expectations. The Cloud Infrastructure team, part of the Apple Services Engineering group, is in search of an exceptional Engineering Program Manager (EPM) to assist our compute team in creating groundbreaking product solutions that will shape the future of large-scale infrastructure at Apple.

In this role, you will be involved in building and maintaining critical infrastructure systems and frameworks that support services such as Elastic compute and container solutions like Kubernetes for Apple Cloud Infrastructure. This platform underpins many iCloud applications and backend systems at Apple, operating at an extensive scale. You will collaborate with a variety of teams across Apple to provide innovative storage infrastructure that operates at significant scale, utilizing both open-source technologies and proprietary systems. Our fast-paced organization is driven by ambitious goals, a vast user base, and the freedom to shape the future of Compute and Storage infrastructure for Apple.

Qualifications
  • Exceptional interpersonal, project management, and technical skills.
  • 5+ years of experience in software development project management within infrastructure domains, particularly compute.
  • Prior experience in engineering and infrastructure is advantageous.
  • Experience managing cloud and infrastructure projects, with familiarity in AWS/Kubernetes platforms being a plus.
  • Proficiency with ECS and virtual machines is strongly preferred.
  • Experience in handling cloud and infrastructure projects, particularly with containers/storage.
  • Demonstrated experience in Agile project management.
  • Familiarity with SCRUM methodologies or experience as a Scrum Master is beneficial.
  • Ability to prioritize features and manage technical roadmaps effectively.
  • Proven track record in delivering large-scale infrastructure projects.
  • Self-motivated and proactive, showcasing creative and critical thinking abilities.
  • Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills to represent the organization at all levels.
  • Capability to manage multiple simultaneous infrastructure projects and engage with diverse stakeholder communities.
  • Experience in end-to-end project delivery, including roadmap development and operational sustainability.
  • Strong facilitation skills for meetings focused on requirements, design, progress, and status updates.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in managing cloud and infrastructure projects, particularly with containers/storage.
  • Evidence of Agile project experience.
