Pharmacist - Patient Care Specialist

Join Our Team of Dedicated ProfessionalsWe're seeking a Staff Pharmacist to join our team, who will play a critical role in delivering our purpose and modeling our values. As a Staff Pharmacist, you'll be responsible for supporting the Pharmacy Manager in leading and directing your Pharmacy Technician Support Staff, as well as overseeing the operation of all aspects within your pharmacy.
Key Responsibilities:- Patient Safety: Ensure the safe handling and administration of medications, as well as the proper disposal of hazardous waste.
- Pharmacy Professional Practice: Stay up-to-date on the latest pharmacy practices and regulations, and ensure compliance with all relevant laws and guidelines.
- Regulatory Requirements: Maintain accurate records and ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements, including DEA and state regulations.
- Quality Assurance: Conduct regular quality assurance checks to ensure the accuracy and quality of patient care.
- Customer Service: Provide exceptional customer service to patients and customers, addressing their concerns and needs in a timely and professional manner.
- Personnel Management: Supervise and develop your Pharmacy Technician Support Staff, providing guidance and support to ensure their success.
- Inventory Management: Manage inventory levels and ensure that all medications and supplies are properly stocked and maintained.
- Financial Profitability: Work to optimize financial performance, identifying opportunities to reduce costs and improve profitability.
- Loss Prevention: Identify and mitigate potential losses, ensuring the security of CVS Health assets and property.
- Workflow Management: Streamline workflows and processes to improve efficiency and productivity.
- Active Pharmacy License in the state in which you are employed.
- Not on the DEA Excluded Parties List.
- Immunization Certification through an accredited organization (i.e. APhA).
- Free of pending felony charges or convictions for criminal offenses involving controlled substances.
- Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy or Pharm. D. degree.
