Job SummaryWe are seeking a highly skilled Certified Welding Inspector to join our team. As a Certified Welding Inspector, you will be responsible for ensuring the quality and integrity of our fabrication and construction projects.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct inspections and testing to ensure compliance with quality management systems, AISC certification, and ISO standards.
- Assist with all inspection and testing services provided by R.Kries.
- Monitor activities related to client expectations and report progress to the Quality Manager.
- Review plans to ensure they meet building codes, local ordinances, and zoning regulations.
- Monitor construction sites and fabrication facilities to ensure overall compliance.
- Use survey instruments, testing equipment, and other systems to ensure that products meet code and requirements.
- Keep daily logs, including photographs taken during inspections.
- Provide written feedback related to findings.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Fully competent in all conventional aspects of subject matter or functional area.
- Plans and conducts work requiring judgment in independent evaluation, selection, and substantial adaptation/modification of standards.
- Devises new solutions to problems encountered.
- Independently performs most assignments with instruction.
- Receives guidance for unusual or complex problems and supervisor approval for changes in standards.
- College/university graduate or equivalent combination of skills and experience generally expected for specified technical roles.
- CWI preferred.
- 3-5 years of welding and miscellaneous fitting experience.
