Job Description

Casper Mountain Rehabilitation and Care Center is seeking a highly skilled and experienced MDS Coordinator to join our dynamic leadership team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with the Interdisciplinary Team to assess the needs of residents and ensure timely and accurate completion of the RAI process.
  • Coordinate information systems operations and education for the clinical department, ensuring compliance with federal and state regulations.
  • Monitor MDS and care plan documentation for all residents, ensuring accurate and up-to-date information is present in the medical record.
  • Support the tracking system of MDS schedules and maintain current MDS status of assigned residents according to state and federal guidelines.
  • Complete accurate coding of the MDS with information obtained via medical record review, observation, and interview with facility staff, residents, and family members.
  • Attend interdisciplinary team meetings and other meetings to gather information, communicate changes, and maintain and update records.
  • Continually update knowledge base related to data entry and computer technology.
  • Participate in quality assurance activities and complete electronic submission of required documentation to the State database and other entities.

Requirements:

  • Registered Nurse with health care experience in a long-term care facility.
  • Knowledge of RAI process required.
  • Knowledge of Medicare preferred.
