Casper Mountain Rehabilitation and Care Center is seeking a highly skilled and experienced MDS Coordinator to join our dynamic leadership team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with the Interdisciplinary Team to assess the needs of residents and ensure timely and accurate completion of the RAI process.
- Coordinate information systems operations and education for the clinical department, ensuring compliance with federal and state regulations.
- Monitor MDS and care plan documentation for all residents, ensuring accurate and up-to-date information is present in the medical record.
- Support the tracking system of MDS schedules and maintain current MDS status of assigned residents according to state and federal guidelines.
- Complete accurate coding of the MDS with information obtained via medical record review, observation, and interview with facility staff, residents, and family members.
- Attend interdisciplinary team meetings and other meetings to gather information, communicate changes, and maintain and update records.
- Continually update knowledge base related to data entry and computer technology.
- Participate in quality assurance activities and complete electronic submission of required documentation to the State database and other entities.
Requirements:
- Registered Nurse with health care experience in a long-term care facility.
- Knowledge of RAI process required.
- Knowledge of Medicare preferred.
