**Job Summary**

We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Construction Project Manager to join our team. As a Senior Construction Project Manager, you will be responsible for managing construction projects from inception to completion, ensuring they are delivered on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.

**Key Responsibilities**

  • Manage public sector construction projects, including office buildings, parks and recreation facilities, City Hall, firehouses, police stations, public safety projects, infrastructure upgrades, and local government projects.
  • Interface with clients and other consultants throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Manage project finances, including invoicing clients and monitoring project financial status.
  • Develop and implement project plans, including producing detailed project plans.
  • Apply performance management techniques to ensure project success.
  • Manage change control processes and ensure compliance with quality standards.
  • Communicate project information to stakeholders through regular meetings and written reports.
  • Prepare project budget progress reports and other relevant documents.
  • Maintain project files and ensure they are shared with the project team.
  • Ensure quality control and compliance with industry standards.
  • Develop proposals for new work or variations to existing projects.
  • Identify opportunities to improve project management procedures and processes.
  • Ensure awareness of quality, safety, health, and environment issues.
  • Establish effective project governance, processes, and systems.

**Requirements**

  • 10+ years of experience in project management, with a focus on public sector projects.
  • Experience working on large new ground-up construction projects in public sector buildings.
  • Ability to advise at a strategic level and provide guidance on project approaches.
  • Excellent time management skills and ability to deliver projects to the right quality standards, on time, and within budget.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships with clients and stakeholders.
  • Experience working as an effective team member and leader.
  • Ability to share and retain key information and data.
  • Excellent leadership skills to guide and advise a team of project managers.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and project management software.

**Education and Experience**

  • Demonstrated experience in design and construction project management, with a focus on public sector projects.
  • Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field.
  • CCM, PMP, or other design or construction certification is a plus.
  • Experience managing demanding stakeholders and work stream managers.
  • Familiarity with construction best practices, general building codes, and various building types and systems.
  • Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, specifications, and plan documents.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
