Job Description
The Patient Access Representative plays a critical role in ensuring smooth and efficient patient flow through our facilities. This individual will provide exceptional customer service, accurately collect and process patient information, and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Interview patients and gather accurate demographic and insurance information.
- Secure admission consent and verify patient insurance information.
- Advise patients of their rights and respond to inquiries promptly and effectively.
- Collect copays and accurately input patient information.
- Recognize registrations requiring pre-authorization or pre-certification.
- Document information on patient accounts and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Maintain a clean and functional workspace and communicate effectively with patients and colleagues.
Salary: $35,000 - $50,000 per yearRequirements
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Prefer a certificate or diploma from a school specializing in Medical Front Office, CNA, and/or Medical Terminology.
- Six months of office and/or call center, customer service, or healthcare experience required.
