Physician Assistant

We are seeking a highly skilled Physician Assistant to join our Thoracic Disease Program at St. Joseph's Hospital and Medical Center. As a key member of our team, you will provide exceptional patient care and collaborate with our multidisciplinary team to deliver high-quality treatment.
Responsibilities- Conduct thorough patient evaluations and develop comprehensive treatment plans in collaboration with our physicians.
- Provide direct patient care, including admissions, discharges, and progress notes.
- Participate in daily multidisciplinary rounding with physicians and coordinators to ensure seamless care coordination.
- Coordinate care with care management, facilitating transfers and discharges as needed.
- Provide education and counseling to patients and families, ensuring they are informed and empowered to manage their care.
- Collaborate with our RN Transplant Coordinators to ensure seamless care coordination for lung transplant patients.
- Participate in department reviews and academic activities, including department meetings and conferences.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and maintain accurate documentation.
- Precept and mentor new staff members, promoting a culture of excellence and continuous learning.
- Minimum 3 years of clinical experience in a related area or specialty field.
- Background in pre-med and degree as a Physician Assistant.
- Must hold and maintain AZ Regulatory Board of Physician Assistants License, NCCPA certification, valid DEA registration, American Heart Association Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support, and American Heart Association Basic Life Support for the healthcare provider.
