About the Role

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Courtroom Clerk to provide exceptional support to our Circuit Court Judges. As a key member of our team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our court proceedings.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare and maintain accurate and up-to-date court records and files.
  • Assist judges in preparing court orders, sentencing orders, and other critical documents.
  • Initiate cases, prepare capias, and rules as needed.
  • Communicate effectively with attorneys, pro se litigants, and other stakeholders on court matters.
  • Analyze and record data on judge rulings, sentences, and probation.
  • Process criminal fines and cost worksheets for defendants upon conviction.
  • Administer oaths for witnesses in court.
  • Coordinate the appearance of court reporters and interpreters as needed.
Requirements
  • Associate's degree in business, public administration, or paralegal studies.
  • Three years of related work experience, preferably in the legal field.
  • Ability to lift up to 10 pounds.
  • Pass pre-employment criminal and credit background checks.
