About This Role

Pacific Seafood is seeking a highly skilled Maintenance Manager II to join our team. This key role will play a critical part in ensuring operational efficiency, safety, and regulatory compliance within the maintenance department.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintenance Management
    • Schedule and direct maintenance staff to ensure timely completion of tasks and projects.
    • Develop and implement a comprehensive training program for subordinate maintenance staff to enhance their skills and knowledge.
    • Establish open communication channels with machine operators, department supervisors, and managers to ensure seamless collaboration and information sharing.
  • Safety and Compliance Administration
    • Administer process safety management and risk management plans to mitigate potential hazards and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
    • Develop and direct maintenance department safety plans and procedures to ensure a safe working environment.
    • Interact with regulatory agencies, including EPA, OSHA, DEQ, City, and State inspectors, to ensure compliance with all relevant regulations.
  • Operation and Project Oversight
    • Formulate and implement a preventative maintenance schedule for facility machinery and equipment to minimize downtime and optimize performance.
    • Oversee refrigeration plant operations, maintenance, and repairs to ensure efficient and safe operation.
    • Manage production plant equipment maintenance and repair to ensure optimal performance and minimize downtime.
    • Budget for maintenance operations to ensure effective resource allocation.
    • Develop working relationships with outside vendors to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery of goods and services.
    • Develop alternating schedules for weekend or after-hours emergency response to ensure prompt attention to critical issues.
    • Oversee new installation projects to ensure timely completion and compliance with regulatory requirements.
    Requirements
    • Education
      • High school diploma or equivalent.
    • Experience
      • Minimum of five years' experience operating and maintaining industrial refrigeration systems utilizing Ammonia and Freon refrigerants.
      • Experience managing and directing a team of technicians in preventative maintenance, repair, operations, and safety.
      • Valid driver's license.
    • Preferred Qualifications
      • EPA Universal Certification.
      • Industrial Refrigeration Certification.
      • Forklift Certification.
      • Background in electrical (single phase & 3 phase), refrigeration, welding, and fabrication.
      • Experience operating and troubleshooting PLC-based control systems and facility electrical systems.
      • Experience using common welding processes and fabrication with an emphasis in stainless and aluminum.
