Medical Care Specialist

Are you a skilled Registered Nurse looking for a new challenge? We have an exciting opportunity for a Medical Care Specialist in our Step Down Unit. In this role, you will provide specialized care to patients transitioning from intensive care to general medical-surgical units.
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor and assess patients' vital signs, cardiac rhythms, and respiratory status in the step-down unit
- Administer medications, perform procedures, and collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive patient care
- Educate patients and families on post-intensive care recovery, medication management, and self-care techniques
- Communicate effectively with healthcare team members to facilitate patient progress and optimize outcomes in the step-down unit
Requirements
- Current RN license
- BLS (Other Certifications as required by facility)
- Two years of recent Step Down experience
- Strong communication and adaptability skills
