About the Role:

  • You will be responsible for providing day-to-day guidance and support to direct patient care staff, focusing on informal feedback and formal performance evaluations.">
  • In collaboration with the Facility Administrator, you will participate in department staffing, hiring, firing, and disciplinary actions.">
  • Ensuring compliance with company-approved procedures, policies, and regulations set by state and federal agencies is crucial in this role.">
  • You will approve or disapprove time/personnel schedule changes, ensuring adherence to applicable regulations, policies, and procedures for documenting time/work hours for staff members on assigned shifts.">
  • Patient care plan meetings and ongoing training programs will keep you updated on current practices related to dialysis techniques and principles.">
  • Your responsibility includes training and orienting staff as needed and observing direct patient care staff for appropriate technique and adherence to facility policies and procedures.">
  • You will promote OSHA programs to maintain a safe working environment and supervise overall shift operations in a safe, efficient, and effective manner.">
  • Maintaining open communication channels with the Facility Administrator is essential, including conducting monthly staff meetings to inform patient care staff of changes in patient needs or operations.">
  • You will assess daily patient care needs and develop/distribute patient care assignments appropriately, assuming primary responsibility in emergency situations.">
  • A strong focus on patient care delivery, with close monitoring of patient conditions and potential complications associated with dialysis, is critical.">
  • You will administer medications per physician's orders, act as a subject matter expert, and supervise completion of short and long-term care plans.">
  • The safe and effective use of equipment involved in direct patient care is your responsibility, along with operating dialysis-related and emergency equipment safely and efficiently when needed.">
  • You will complete required testing and verification, perform start-up/shut-down procedures, and assist with special projects or other duties assigned by the Facility Administrator.">
  • Fostering an environment of efficiency in medical supply usage and participating in Quality Assurance meetings will contribute to the success of the team.">
  • Certified in CPR and possessing good communication skills – verbal and written – are necessary requirements for this role.">
  • The ideal candidate should have a graduate degree from an accredited school of Nursing (R.N.), with registration and licensure to practice in the applicable State.">
  • At least 12 months of nursing experience, plus 6 months of specialized experience providing clinical nursing care to dialysis patients, is preferred.">
  • A background in medical/surgical nursing or supervisory/management experience is advantageous.">
  • $103,000 - $120,000 per year salary range reflects the level of expertise and qualifications required for this position.">

Requirements:

  • Must be registered and licensed to practice in the applicable State.">
  • Minimum of 12 months of nursing experience, plus 6 months of specialized experience providing clinical nursing care to dialysis patients, in either a chronic or acute setting.">
  • Medical/surgical nursing preferred.">
  • Supervisory or management experience preferred.">
  • Certified in CPR or successfully complete course in CPR certification.">
  • Good communication skills – verbal and written.">
