Job Summary

The Registered Nurse (RN) is responsible for delivering high-quality patient care in the Cardiac Catheterization Laboratory. This is a full-time, day shift position at Sentara Williamsburg Regional Medical Center.

Responsibilities
  • Perform a competent level of nursing care, utilizing the critical thinking model known as the nursing process.
  • Assess, diagnose, and develop outcomes-based plans of care for patients undergoing cardiac catheterization procedures.
  • Implement and coordinate care, teaching, and health promotion to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
  • Collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure seamless care transitions and effective communication.
Requirements
  • Minimum of ASN or RN Diploma required; BSN or MSN preferred.
  • RN licensure required; BLS within 90 days of hire; ACLS within 1 year.
  • Previous experience in acute care, preferably in the ICU, ED, or cath lab; prior experience circulating and monitoring invasive cardiac procedures is preferred.
