About the Role:

The successful candidate will be responsible for developing cost estimates for transmission and substation work. To achieve this, they will participate in our extensive training program to develop these skills.

MYRE serves customers participating in a nationwide engineer-procure-construct (EPC) delivery. Our team works on a wide range of projects and EPC contracting services, including large transmissions and substation projects, complete solar facilities, and energy storage.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepare Complete Cost Estimates: Develop accurate and detailed cost estimates for assigned projects, focusing on transmission, distribution, and substation projects.
  • Plan and Execute Work: Meet customer-defined submission deadlines while planning and executing work with precision.
  • Schedule Field Job Walks: Organize and attend field job walks with customers, subcontractors, and construction personnel to determine constructability requirements.
  • Attend Pre-Bid Meetings: Participate in on-site pre-bid meetings and conduct job site visits, which may involve travel requiring overnight stays.
  • Perform Take-offs/Evaluations: Conduct take-offs and evaluations for estimate preparation with accuracy and efficiency.
  • Solicit Material Vendor Pricing: Obtain material vendor pricing and subcontractor proposals, including the assembly and distribution of project documentation into RFQ/RFP packages.
  • Understand Construction Drawings: Accurately formulate an estimate based on construction and electrical drawings.
  • Compare Project Documents: Compare various project documents for accuracy and consistency.
  • Participate in Estimate Review: Collaborate in the estimate review process with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Assist Construction Personnel: Support construction personnel throughout the project lifecycle in tracking and understanding basis of cost estimate.
  • Assist in Change Orders: Assist in the preparation and submission of change orders.
  • Close-Out Meetings: Participate in job close-out meetings at the end of a project to close any loops in the estimating process.
About You:Qualifications:

We are looking for a highly organized and detail-oriented individual proficient in Microsoft applications, particularly Excel. Excellent analytical, organizational, verbal, written, and communication skills are essential for success in this role. A team player mentality and ability to work collaboratively with colleagues are also required.

What We Offer:Compensation & Benefits:

The estimated salary for this position is $65,000-$85,000 per year, depending on experience, paid weekly. Additional benefits include two days per week remote work option, comprehensive benefits package, paid time off, generous 401(k) plan with 100% match up to 6%, and annual profit-sharing potential.
