The Culinary Services department at Saint John's University invites applications for a full-time (0.9 FTE), benefit-eligible position of Service Associate II.

Job Responsibilities
  • Provide exceptional customer service to the campus community in the Refectory Dining center.
  • Set up and service catering functions, ensuring high-quality presentation and timely delivery.
  • Model leadership and daily service training for student worker staff, promoting a positive and effective work environment.
  • Assist in the preparation and assembly of high-quality menu items, adhering to safe food handling and sanitation protocols.
  • Operate equipment safely and efficiently, adhering to all safety protocols.
  • Provide input and feedback on menu ideas, cost-saving methods, and service improvements.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Previous experience in food service or hospitality preferred.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and provide excellent customer service.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
Working Conditions

This position is under the general direction of the Lead Supervisor for Service and Events.
