Job Title: CDL Driver

Job Summary:

The CDL Driver position is responsible for the safe and efficient delivery of compressed gases to Phoenix Welding Supply's customers. This role requires a valid Class A Driver's License with HAZMAT and tanker endorsement, as well as excellent customer service and communication skills.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver compressed gas cylinders to customers in a timely and safe manner.
  • Provide excellent customer service and communication skills to ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including load manifests and vehicle documents.
  • Operate and safely drive assigned delivery vehicles, including trucks with Gross Vehicle Weight (GVW) over 26,000 lbs.
  • Perform miscellaneous tasks as assigned.

Requirements and Qualifications:

  • Valid Class A Driver's License with HAZMAT and tanker endorsement.
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills.
  • Ability to work over the road shuttles for up to five (5) days, a minimum of two (2) weeks per month.
  • Ability to lift 25 to 75 lbs., and occasionally between 76 to 100+ lbs.
  • Ability to work in all types of weather.

Physical Demands:

  • Ability to stand and sit for long periods of time.
  • Ability to stoop, crouch, reach, grasp, feel, climb, balance, kneel, and repetitive motion required.
  • Ability to smell.

Work Environment:

This is a full-time position. Expected hours of work are no less than eight (8) hours per day, but additional hours may be required to complete all deliveries.

Education, Experience & Certification:

Certificate from an accredited school and completion of Entry Level Driver Training program, is preferred.
