Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Certified X-Ray Technologist to join our team at a multi-specialty practice in Bronx, New York.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in radiologic technology and excellent communication skills.

Responsibilities:

  • Verify patient identity and review physicians' orders before beginning x-ray procedures.
  • Operate X-ray equipment to take high-quality radiographic images of patients' bones, tissues, and organs.
  • Explain x-ray procedures to patients and address their questions and concerns.
  • Position patients safely and efficiently, including those with limited mobility.
  • Minimize patient radiation exposure by using lead shields as needed.
  • Ensure that X-rays are of sufficient quality to prevent repeat procedures.
  • Collaborate with the resident Radiologist to determine further testing needs.
  • Perform routine maintenance on X-ray equipment and report any issues to management.
  • Maintain accurate records of completed x-ray procedures.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's or associate's degree in radiologic technology, radiology, or a related field.
  • New York State License.
  • ARRT Certification preferred.
  • Medical background (EMT, CMA, Medical Assistant) preferred.
