We are currently seeking a Lead Mechanic to enhance our skilled team.
Experience RequirementsThe ideal candidate will possess three to five years of experience in maintenance and repair within a comparable environment, ideally in the hospitality sector.
Essential Licenses: NYC refrigeration license (Q99), sprinkler license, standpipe license (S 12 & S13), Air Compressor License, and Super fuel licenses for generator gas pipe operation.
Core ResponsibilitiesThe primary duties include, but are not limited to:
- General plumbing, carpentry, and painting.
- Operation of HVAC systems, specifically:
- York Centrifugal Chillers
- Two/four pipe HVAC units
- Digital control/computer Management Systems
- Packaged HVAC units
- Proficient in English with strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Knowledge of safe working practices.
- Adept at troubleshooting and devising effective solutions.
- Ability to interpret blueprints, schematic drawings, and manufacturer specifications.
- Strong delegation skills and follow-through.
- Experience in supervising diverse skill levels among employees.
- Proactive in problem ownership and solution implementation.
- Direct supervision and oversight of tradesmen.
- Maintain accurate work reports and records.
- Manage procurement and inventory of tools and materials.
- Coordinate in-house projects and tasks.
- Implement a utility management program to optimize energy conservation.
- Physical capability to lift a minimum of 50 pounds and endure prolonged standing.
- Flexibility in scheduling is essential.
Salary: $44.21/hr
