About the Role

Sylvan Learning is seeking a dedicated and passionate Reading Development Specialist to join our team of educators. As a Reading Development Specialist, you will play a vital role in helping students develop their reading skills and achieve academic success.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver high-quality reading instruction to small groups of students, utilizing pre-planned lessons and materials.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to create a supportive and inclusive learning environment.
  • Communicate effectively with students, parents, and colleagues to ensure a smooth and successful learning experience.
  • Participate in ongoing professional development to stay up-to-date on best practices in reading instruction and education.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree in Education or a related field.
  • Teaching Credential or equivalent experience.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Flexibility to work a variable schedule, including weekday afternoons and Saturday mornings.
