We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Production Assistant to join our Operations Team at The Salvation Army. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our daily routes, providing exceptional customer service, and contributing to the success of our Adult Rehabilitation Program.
Key Responsibilities- Follow daily routing directions and maintain a safe and efficient route.
- Manage your time effectively to ensure routes are completed within the approved work schedule.
- Responsible for the safe loading and unloading of assigned trucks and assist in the safe loading or unloading of other trucks as requested.
- Train, instruct, and supervise truck helpers in their Work Therapy Assignment (WTA), promoting good personal and professional work habits.
- Responsible for Bag & Tag as instructed by Supervisor and procedure.
- Provide exceptional customer service to all customers, ensuring they are treated with courtesy and respect.
- Abide by all DOT regulations and state and local laws while maintaining a safe driving record.
- Attend all driver safety meetings as required.
- High School graduate or equivalent.
- Valid driver's license (Class B or C).
- Clean Driving Record.
- Strong time management and customer service skills.
- Ability to operate electronic equipment used for daily route information.
- Strong oral and written communication skills.
The successful candidate will be able to sit, walk, stand, bend, squat, climb, kneel, and twist on an intermittent or continuous basis. They will also be able to grasp, push, pull objects such as files, file cabinet drawers, clothing carts, merchandise carts, rolling clothing racks, fixtures, furniture dollies, platform trucks and carts, hand trucks and miscellaneous carts. Additionally, they will be able to operate a motor vehicle, lift up to 100lbs, and perform various repetitive motion tasks.
