We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Child and Adolescent Psychiatrist to join our team at the Defense Health Agency Civilian Corps in Falls Church, VA. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will provide exceptional care to our patients and their families.
Job SummaryThe Child and Adolescent Psychiatrist will be responsible for providing comprehensive psychiatric services to children and adolescents, including diagnosis, treatment, and management of psychiatric disorders. You will work closely with our multidisciplinary team to provide patient-centered care and develop individualized treatment plans.
Responsibilities- Provide psychiatric services to children and adolescents, including assessment, diagnosis, and treatment of psychiatric disorders.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans, including medication management and psychotherapy.
- Collaborate with our multidisciplinary team to provide patient-centered care and coordinate services.
- Participate in hospital-approved behavioral health training programs and stay up-to-date with the latest research and best practices in child and adolescent psychiatry.
- Provide professional consultation, education, and collaborative medical support to other professional staff, interdisciplinary teams, and military specific liaison/consultation with commanders, agencies and programs.
To be considered for this position, you must meet the following requirements:
- Doctor of Medicine, Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine, or equivalent from a school in the United States or Canada.
- Completion of a residency program in psychiatry and board certification by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology.
- Current, active, full, and unrestricted license or registration as a Physician from a State, the District of Columbia, the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico, or a territory of the United States.
