We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Counsel to join our Advisory team in CBRE's Legal Department. As a key member of our team, you will play a critical role in negotiating and drafting contracts, providing legal guidance, and assessing and mitigating risk proactively and creatively.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Review and negotiate a high volume of contracts and transactional documents related to commercial real estate services.
  • Assess complex contractual risks and counsel business teams and leadership on legal risk issues associated with client contracts.
  • Support senior Legal colleagues and department leadership with research and other projects related to CBRE's Advisory business.
  • Partner with sales professionals, managers, and leadership on negotiation strategy, potential business disruptions, and conflict resolution.
  • Collaborate with senior Legal colleagues and other internal functional areas to identify, assess, and mitigate risk exposure.
Requirements:
  • J.D. from a credible ABA-accredited law school.
  • Member of applicable State Bar in good standing.
  • At least 4 years of private practice and/or in-house experience.
  • Experience drafting and negotiating commercial contracts.
  • Effective writing and oral presentation skills.
  • Well-developed professional judgment.
