Job Overview

The Housekeeping Operations Manager is tasked with overseeing the effective functioning of the Housekeeping Department. Key Responsibilities:

  1. Conduct thorough inspections of guest accommodations and public spaces to guarantee quality and cleanliness on a daily basis.
  2. Manage daily operations, including opening and closing procedures, assigning tasks to staff, and ensuring all housekeeping objectives are met.
  3. Assist in cleaning guest rooms and public areas as necessary.
  4. Uphold brand standards for cleanliness and guest satisfaction.
  5. Engage with guests and team members in a friendly and service-oriented manner.
  6. Supervise housekeeping and laundry staff, providing guidance and support.
  7. Facilitate daily meetings with housekeeping personnel to discuss objectives and performance.
  8. Oversee inventory management of housekeeping supplies, ensuring adequate stock levels through regular ordering.
  9. Perform regular inventories of housekeeping supplies and equipment.
  10. Coordinate with the Engineering department regarding maintenance requests and follow up on their completion.
  11. Ensure accurate room status reporting and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner.
  12. Manage lost and found procedures in accordance with established policies.
  13. Complete required reports efficiently and on time.
  14. Review guest requests daily to ensure all needs are addressed proactively.
  15. Monitor special guests and VIP requests to ensure exceptional service.
  16. Ensure compliance with safety standards regarding hazardous materials.
  17. Maintain a secure key control system for the department.
  18. Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  1. Positive attitude and eagerness to learn.
  2. Experience in hotel housekeeping or a related field is essential.
  3. Previous supervisory experience is required.
  4. Ability to thrive in high-pressure situations.
  5. Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to anticipate and address issues effectively.
  6. Excellent communication skills for addressing concerns from guests and staff.
  7. Basic arithmetic skills are necessary.
  8. Availability to participate in manager on duty coverage as scheduled.
  9. Proficiency in Windows operating systems and standard office software.
  10. Ability to convey information clearly and effectively.
  11. Genuine desire to provide excellent service to all guests.
  12. Must be at least 18 years of age.

Preferred Qualifications:

  1. Experience with hotel brands is preferred.
