About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Roadway Design Engineer to join our team at EXP. As a key member of our transportation team, you will be responsible for designing and developing innovative solutions for complex roadway projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and coordinate design activities between staff, subcontractors, and clients.
  • Perform and lead engineering design tasks for roadway and traffic projects from conceptual design to final design.
  • Develop civil design of multi-modal transportation projects per AASHTO and applicable design standards.
  • Develop plans, specifications, quantities, and cost estimates.
  • Prepare final bid packages, design-build packages, and bridging documents.
  • Mentor and develop new engineers in transportation and roadway design.
  • Perform technical analyses and reviews of infrastructure projects.
  • Prepare reports, plans, and studies.
  • Develop proposals, presentations, and reports.
Requirements
  • Bachelor of Science or higher in Engineering, preferably in civil or transportation.
  • 8+ years related experience.
  • Licensed PE in the State of Georgia.
  • GDOT experience preferred.
  • In-depth knowledge of Microstation and InRoads software.
  • Strong technical design background in highway design and transportation engineering.
  • Excellent oral and written communications skills.
  • Basic knowledge of MS Word, PowerPoint, Excel.
