We are seeking a highly skilled Project Accountant to join our team at Lyon Shipyard Inc. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the full project revenue cycle, including billing, collections, and reporting.
Key Responsibilities:- Manage project setup, cost analysis, and government contract compliance.
- Prepare monthly billings, collections, and provide updates to the Controller and GM.
- Conduct project analysis and closeouts, identifying issues and communicating findings to relevant parties.
- Set up projects and work orders in the ERP system, including managing change orders, budgets, and growth tracking.
- Prepare monthly project-related journal entries and generate daily and month-end WIP reports.
- Review cost reports for accuracy and ensure correct capitalization transactions.
- Assist with government contract reporting and billing through WAWF.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting with 3 years of cost/project accounting experience.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
