The Fitness and Wellness Coordinator plays a vital role within Bethesda Health and Housing, contributing to the overall wellness of our community. This position involves leading a variety of group exercise sessions, catering to different fitness levels, including but not limited to Yoga and Aquatic Fitness. Responsibilities include guiding participants through workouts, providing clear instructions, and managing class dynamics effectively.

At Bethesda, we are committed to our mission of 'Serving others together in faith, community, and life.' Our wellness center is specifically designed for individuals aged 50 and above, fostering a supportive environment for health and fitness.

Employee Benefits:

  • Comprehensive Benefit Program (for full-time staff) that includes: Paid Time Off, Medical, Dental, Vision, 401(K), Life Insurance, Short-Term Disability Coverage, and additional voluntary benefits.
  • Monthly sign-on bonuses: $50 for part-time and $100 for full-time employees for the first year.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Certification as a personal trainer.
  • 1-3 years of experience in fitness instruction.
  • Additional training opportunities are available.

Work Schedule:

  • This is a full-time position requiring 32 hours per week, with the potential to increase to 40 hours. No weekend or holiday shifts are required.
