Job Description

Astrion is seeking a highly skilled Software Test Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our cybersecurity team, you will be responsible for conducting system security analysis and identifying vulnerabilities in software and systems.

Responsibilities:

  • Support test managers in developing test plans, reports, and customer communications.
  • Prepare developmental test and evaluation test cases and perform functional testing at various levels.
  • Participate in all phases of software and hardware development, including requirements development, risk assessments, and evaluation criteria refinement.
  • Coordinate with customers, test engineers, and range engineers to ensure test infrastructure meets desired test objectives and data collection requirements.
  • Compile and analyze test results data to determine conformity of the product or capability to requirements.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline and a minimum of 3 years of technical experience.
  • Active and fully adjudicated Secret security clearance, and the ability to maintain a Secret security clearance.
  • Must obtain the ISTQB CTFL certification within 6 months of hire.
  • Must obtain the ISTQB Certified Tester Advanced Level-Test Analyst (CTAL-TA) certification within 2 years of hire.
  • Advanced experience with Windows (Power Shell) and Linux (Kali and Ubuntu) command line interface.
  • Intermediate ability to interface effectively with customers, end-users, technical leads, and program management throughout the full software development lifecycle.
