We are seeking a skilled Patient Transporter to join our team at WVU Medicine. As a Patient Transporter, you will be responsible for transporting patients from various hospital departments to and from the Diagnostic Services Department.
Key Responsibilities- Maintain accurate records of patient transport to and from D.S. Department.
- Utilize RIS to properly check-in and check-out patients.
- Demonstrate basic knowledge of IVAC pumps, drainage devices, catheters, restraints, and oxygen tanks.
- Demonstrate proficiency with regards to stretchers/carts, wheelchairs, O2 tanks, transfer devices, and personal protective equipment.
- Demonstrate the knowledge and skills necessary to communicate and provide a safe environment for infants, pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients.
- High School graduate or equivalent with a successful completion of a patient care aide-training program or equivalent.
- Must be physically able to move carriages, wheelchairs, and help lift patients.
- CPR certification within 90 days of hire.
