The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, strategic thinking, and the ability to lead seamless execution of launch plans and ongoing marketing activities that deliver business results.
About the Role
This senior director will be responsible for leading the strategic vision and execution for monitoring patients outside the clinic and our implantable loop recording global business. The connectivity and digital services market is already robust and expected to grow to over $3 billion in the next years. To achieve this growth, Abbott must aggressively transition to the cloud, requiring innovative thinking to develop and successfully launch new services and business models.
The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in driving the strategic vision and execution for a rapidly growing market, soon to be valued at $1 billion. Key responsibilities include:
- Strategic Leadership: Drive the Connectivity strategy for all Merlin assets in conjunction with cross-functional partners, including the development and execution of new service strategies.
- Thought Leadership: Create clear, compelling, data-driven recommendations and deliverables that support annual marketing initiatives using market research and insights from analytics.
- Operational Excellence: Provide strategic guidance and direction for teams within Connectivity/Merlin/Services Marketing, including marketing analytics, sales enablement systems, and platform innovation.
About You
To succeed in this role, you will need:
- A minimum of 10 years of experience with progressive responsibility in medical devices, healthcare, diagnostics, brand management, or healthcare marketing.
- Proven ability to interact directly with executive leadership to drive strategy and investment decisions.
- Strong strategic marketing acumen and experience in leading upstream and/or downstream marketing functions.
- Demonstrated ability to lead and develop teams and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
- Experience prioritizing and managing project initiatives across multiple functions and/or business units.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to communicate complex concepts to a non-technical audience.
- Experience and proficiency with P&L and budget management.
- Ability to travel approximately 40%, including internationally.
- A Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, Business, Market Development, or a related field. A Master's degree is preferred.
Compensation
The estimated salary range for this position is $143,300 - $286,700 annually, depending on specific locations.
