Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Automotive Repair Specialist to join our team at Christian Brothers Automotive. As a key member of our service department, you will be responsible for diagnosing and repairing a wide range of domestic and foreign vehicles.

Key Responsibilities
  • Vehicle Diagnostics and Repair: Use your knowledge and skills to diagnose and fix vehicles for our guests, ensuring a high level of quality and customer satisfaction.
  • Continuous Learning and Improvement: Continuously build experience as an automotive mechanic across a wide range of domestic and foreign vehicles, staying up-to-date with the latest technologies and techniques.
  • Courtesy Vehicle Inspections: Complete full, accurate, and honest courtesy vehicle inspections, providing our guests with a thorough understanding of their vehicle's condition.
  • Team Collaboration: Work as part of a team to troubleshoot guest concerns quickly and effectively, ensuring seamless communication and a positive customer experience.
  • Quality and Safety: Follow and promote our high standards of safety, cleanliness, and organization, maintaining a safe and healthy work environment.
  • Guest Communication: Work closely with the service department and effectively communicate guest concerns, ensuring a high level of customer satisfaction.
  • Problem-Solving and Collaboration: Work together with other Technicians to solve problems, meet deadlines, and deliver distinguished results, promoting a culture of teamwork and excellence.
Qualifications
  • Positive Attitude and Guest Focus: Possess a positive attitude and a desire to serve guests, providing exceptional customer service and ensuring a high level of satisfaction.
  • Experience and Certifications: Have 3+ years of experience as an automotive technician/mechanic, with ASE certifications preferred or a plan to achieve.
  • Diagnostic and Repair Skills: Be capable of diagnosing and repairing all makes/models of vehicles, meeting or exceeding hourly goals.
  • Learning and Adaptability: Possess an aptitude for learning additional skills and processes, adapting to new technologies and techniques.
  • Professional Appearance and Communication: Maintain a professional appearance and strong communication skills, effectively interacting with guests and colleagues.
  • Long-Term Career Development: Demonstrate a desire for long-term career development, seeking opportunities for growth and advancement within the company.
Physical Requirements
  • Lifting and Mobility: Occasionally lift and/or move over 100 pounds, working with tools on vehicles lifted above their head.
  • Work Environment: Work in tight spaces as dictated by the vehicle's needed repair, maintaining a safe and healthy work environment.
  • Dexterity and Hand Tools: Have the needed dexterity in order to efficiently use hand tools, navigating a computer and other equipment.
  • Physical Activity: Walk/stand for the majority of their workday, driving manual transmissions vehicles as needed.
