We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Patient Representative to join our team at Ashtabula County Medical Center. As a Patient Representative, you will be the first point of contact for patients and their families, providing exceptional customer service and ensuring a positive experience throughout their visit.
Key Responsibilities- Provide accurate and timely information to patients and families regarding their medical care and treatment options.
- Ensure that all patient records are up-to-date and accurate, including demographic, insurance, and medical information.
- Communicate effectively with healthcare providers, insurance companies, and other stakeholders to ensure seamless care coordination.
- Collect and process patient payments, including co-pays and deductibles.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant laws, regulations, and accreditation standards.
- High school diploma or equivalent required; college or business school education desired.
- Two years of customer service experience dealing with the public on the phone or in person required.
- Two years of patient financial services background (registration, billing, medical office, customer service, follow-up, or collections) preferred.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills required.
