Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Construction Site Supervisor to join our team at Kiewit Corporation. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for leading and managing crew members' daily activities and production to ensure timely completion of projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Project Planning and Coordination: Plan, coordinate, and organize people, equipment, tools, and materials to promote safe, efficient, and timely construction of projects.
  • Equipment Management: Ensure that construction equipment is correctly operated and maintained to prevent accidents and downtime.
  • Reporting and Record-Keeping: Maintain accurate reporting records, including job quantities, productivity rates, time sheets, and daily management reports.
  • Scheduling and Sequencing: Assist in developing a weekly schedule and carrying out the sequence of activities for assigned crews.
  • Cost Management: Ensure timely completion of work assignments within estimated costs while maintaining the company's reputation for quality workmanship.
  • Safety Management: Responsible for the safety of crew members and conduct all operations according to applicable company and government safety rules.
  • Crew Management: Develop and maintain a proper crew attitude by conducting toolbox meetings and communicating safety concerns, work scope, plans, and schedules to leadmen and crews.
  • Compliance: Monitor compliance by all employees under supervision with all Company policies.
Requirements
  • Education and Experience: May require a high school diploma or its equivalent with previous years of experience in the field or in a related area.
  • Knowledge and Skills: Ability to demonstrate thorough knowledge and skill to perform all essential functions of craft workers under supervision.
  • Task Planning and Execution: Ability to perform task planning to safely and efficiently carry out all aspects of work assigned, train/teach safety practices, policies, and procedures.
  • Scheduling and Material Control: Have a working knowledge of the scheduling, material control, and unit manhour performance, estimating fundamentals, and job cost management systems.
  • Communication and Teamwork: Ability to understand, follow, and transmit written and oral instructions and communicate effectively with craft workers under supervision and management/supervision.
  • Physical Demands: Able to meet all physical requirements, including climbing and working at heights and in confined spaces, and working outdoors in all weather conditions.
