Position Overview

Company: Chenega Corporation

The Facility Maintenance Specialist is primarily tasked with the comprehensive upkeep, sanitation, restocking, and security of interior structures, including office spaces, restrooms, and all designated areas as per contract or supervisor assignment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collect waste and replace liners in trash receptacles.
  • Perform vacuuming, mopping, polishing, and sweeping across all floor surfaces.
  • Dust surfaces, spot clean walls, maintain glass cleanliness, and sanitize all designated areas.
  • Thoroughly wash, clean, wipe down, sponge, rinse, scour, and disinfect assigned workspaces.
  • Identify and report areas needing repair and any hazardous conditions that require attention.
  • Ensure all rooms are securely closed upon exiting.
  • Operate floor cleaning machinery and other cleaning equipment.
  • Execute additional tasks as assigned.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent is preferred.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Excellent communication skills are essential.
  • Ability to complete tasks to the highest standards.
  • Capability to manage frequent interruptions effectively.
  • Previous experience in a similar role is preferred.
  • Ability to follow directions and instructions accurately.
  • Proficiency in identifying safety hazards and responding appropriately.
  • Ability to adhere to established cleaning protocols on a daily basis.
  • Commitment to following all safety regulations and company policies.
  • Ability to lift and/or move items weighing up to 50 pounds.
