Job Overview

Himes Breakfast House is seeking a skilled Line Cook to join our team. As a Line Cook, you will be responsible for preparing and cooking food to our high standards.

Responsibilities
  • Prepare and cook food to recipe specifications
  • Use proper utensils and scales to prepare product
  • Cut and prepare by recipe all foods, sauces, and soup according to daily par
  • Re-stock dishes/utensils, wipe down surfaces and clean pans throughout shift to maintain the cleanliness and order of the kitchen
  • Work as a team with utility to keep the dish area orderly and caught up
  • Fill out Waste Sheet when a dish is prepared incorrectly, etc. to track food waste
  • Properly sanitize all tools, boards, containers, and Prep surfaces AFTER EACH USE
  • Record cooling HACCP Temperatures on HACCP Temp Chart
  • Inspect product to quality specifications. Puts away orders in proper places
Requirements
  • Minimum 17 years of age or older
  • High School or GED equivalent preferred
  • Previous kitchen experience preferred but not required
