Key Responsibilities
  • Client Management: Manage a client base consisting of small to mid-market businesses, providing exceptional service and ensuring client satisfaction.
  • Accounting and Tax Services: Perform year-end accounting & tax engagements independently and efficiently, ensuring high-quality work products and meeting deadlines.
  • Team Leadership: Review tax work papers, provide training and support to team members, and assist with new and existing client opportunities and client advisory services.
  • Technical Expertise: Serve as a technical resource to the firm and its clients, providing guidance and support on accounting and tax matters.
  • Workflow Management: Manage own workflow, including proper delegation when appropriate to staff according to their experience and capabilities, and coordination with partners on all phases of the engagement.
  • Client Support: Work independently with clients in their office to assist with month end/year end closing and accounting issues.
  • Leadership and Supervision: Provide overall leadership, supervision, training, and performance feedback to staff, ensuring they have the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their duties effectively.
  • Quality Assurance: Review the accounting working papers and determine that the engagement has been performed in accordance with professional standards and the terms of the arrangement letter.
Requirements
  • Experience: 5-7 years of public accounting experience, with a focus on tax preparation and review.
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in accounting, with a strong understanding of accounting principles and practices.
  • Licenses: An active CPA license is required.
  • Skills: Strong technical skills, including experience with QuickBooks, SAGE 100, and/or Foundation Software. Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
