Job Summary

We are seeking a highly qualified Adjunct Faculty member to join our Surgical Technology program at Rasmussen University. As an Adjunct Faculty member, you will be responsible for teaching didactic portions of Fundamentals of Surgical Technology and Surgical Procedures I, II, and III. You will also be responsible for clinical site visits and observing student performance in Surgical Tech Practicum I and II courses.

Key Responsibilities
  • Teach didactic portions of Fundamentals of Surgical Technology and Surgical Procedures I, II, and III
  • Implement instructional strategies to engage students in interactive learning in both on-campus and online environments
  • Conduct clinical site visits and observe student performance in Surgical Tech Practicum I and II courses
  • Work with the Program Coordinator and Clinical Coordinator to ensure student success in the Surgical Technologist program
Requirements
  • Master's degree in Surgical Technology or a related field
  • Active, unrestricted CST or CST/CSFA certification
  • 2+ years of experience in the operating room scrub role, as an instructor in surgical technology, or a combination of both within the past 5 years
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work in a team environment with minimal supervision
Preferred Qualifications
  • Associate's degree in Surgical Nurse or Surgical Technology
  • CST/CSFA certification
