As a Respiratory Therapist, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care, collaborating with interdisciplinary teams, and contributing to the development of evidence-based practices.
Key Responsibilities- Respiratory Care Services: Provide aerosol therapy, oxygen therapy, chest physiotherapy, incentive spirometry, mechanical ventilation, arterial blood gases, pulmonary function testing, and pulse oximetry as needed.
- Collaboration and Communication: Work closely with certified respiratory practitioners, nurses, and physicians to develop and implement patient care plans.
- Education and Professional Development: Participate in ongoing education and training to stay current with best practices and advancements in respiratory care.
- Quality Improvement: Contribute to quality improvement initiatives, including data collection and analysis, to enhance patient outcomes and care processes.
- Education: Graduate of an accredited Respiratory Therapist program with an Associate Degree.
- Certifications: Registered Respiratory Therapist by NBRC, current Florida RT or TT license, CRT accepted with registration as RRT within 36 months, American Heart Association BLS, ACLS, PALS Certification, and NRP Certified within 90 days.
- Experience: Prior acute care hospital experience required.
