We are seeking a highly skilled Medical Technologist to join our team at Dana-Farber Cancer Institute. As a Medical Technologist, you will play a critical role in ensuring the accuracy and timeliness of laboratory test results.
Key Responsibilities- Perform various laboratory tests and procedures on body fluids, utilizing automated analyzers and manual test procedures.
- Operate, maintain, and troubleshoot laboratory instruments, identifying problems that may adversely affect test performance or report of test results.
- Report accurate laboratory tests in a timely manner, following technical procedures and using the clinical lab information system.
- Adhere to laboratory quality control policies, documenting all quality control activities, instrument and procedural calibrations.
- Participate in proficiency testing programs and maintain competence through ongoing education and training.
- AS, MLT (ASCP) or BS, MT (ASCP) or nationally recognized equivalent degree in a clinical, physical, biological, or clinical laboratory science.
- 5 years of clinical lab experience in chemistry and/or hematology required.
- ASCP or equivalent (AMT, NCA) certification preferred.
