Key Responsibilities
  • Monitor and control access to credit union premises, ensuring that only authorized individuals enter the building.
  • Conduct regular patrols of the facility, including the parking lot and surrounding areas, to prevent and detect any potential security threats.
  • Respond to emergency situations, such as alarms, fires, or medical emergencies, and take appropriate action to ensure the safety of all individuals involved.
  • Provide excellent customer service to members and employees, answering questions and addressing concerns in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Collaborate with other security personnel and management to develop and implement effective security protocols and procedures.
  • Participate in ongoing training and professional development to stay up-to-date on the latest security techniques and technologies.
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • Current Council on Law Enforcement Education and Training (CLEET) Armed Security Guard license required.
  • Valid driver's license and a clean driving record.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing situations.
Working Conditions

This is a part-time position that requires working a variable schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays. The Security Officer Part Time will be required to work in a variety of environments, including indoor and outdoor settings, and may be exposed to inclement weather.

Physical Demands
  • Ability to stand for long periods of time and walk or run as needed.
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
  • Ability to climb stairs and navigate uneven terrain.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing situations.
