About the Role

Cleveland Preparatory Academy is seeking a dedicated and passionate 5th Grade Teacher to join our team. As a 5th Grade Teacher, you will be responsible for creating a positive and engaging learning environment that fosters academic excellence and social-emotional growth for our students.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement lesson plans that cater to the diverse needs of our students
  • Utilize research-based best practices to deliver instruction and promote student learning
  • Maintain accurate records of student progress and development
  • Collaborate with colleagues to ensure a cohesive and supportive learning environment
  • Communicate effectively with families regarding student growth and development

Requirements:

  • Active and current state of Ohio teaching license in the appropriate content area
  • Bachelor's degree in education or a related field
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to manage confidential information and maintain a professional demeanor
  • Experience working in an urban environment and with students of diverse backgrounds
