Job Overview

POSITION: Safety and Security Officer

EMPLOYER: The University Club Of Memphis

ROLE SUMMARY: Tasked with ensuring a secure and safe atmosphere for all staff, members, and guests at The University Club Of Memphis.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Recognizes and addresses security breaches to safeguard individuals and organizational assets.
  • Performs routine evaluations to detect potential security hazards.
  • Supervises entry points and reacts swiftly to emergency situations.
  • Maintains vigilance over organizational premises and property.
  • Records and reports incidents related to safety and security.
  • Coordinates with local law enforcement when required.
  • Executes additional tasks as assigned by management.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • High school diploma or equivalent qualification.
  • Valid State Security Guard license.
  • Prior experience in security and emergency response.
  • Certification in CPR and First Aid is advantageous.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities.
  • Capability to work autonomously or collaboratively.
  • Sound judgement during emergencies.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS AND WORK ENVIRONMENT:

  • Must be able to stand, walk, sit, and communicate effectively.
  • Occasionally required to lift or carry items.
