Key Responsibilities
  • Sell Tour Options: Explain tour options, pricing, features, and availability to customers, and accurately use booking software to schedule tours and process payments.
  • Provide Exceptional Customer Service: Communicate effectively with customers, address concerns, and ensure satisfaction.
  • Manage Tour Operations: Assign tours to guides, balance passenger loads, and manage guide breaks according to schedule.
  • Process Transactions: Process credit card payments, handle cash and voucher transactions, and manage monetary responsibilities.
  • Support Team Members: Assist colleagues with phone calls, provide back-up support during staffing shortages, and contribute to a positive team environment.
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or Equivalent: Required.
  • Computer Experience: Required (MS Windows, Outlook, Word, and Excel).
  • Prior Customer Service and Sales Experience: Preferred.
Essential Physical Requirements
  • Ability to Perform Data Entry Tasks: Up to 10 hours.
  • Ability to Communicate with Associates and Customers: Phone and in-person.
  • Ability to Read, Count, and Write: Accurately complete documentation and computer transactions.
  • Ability to Access All Areas of the Customer Service Department: Front and back office, waiting area, guide area, and parking lot.
  • Ability to Operate Equipment: Registers, computers, copier, fax machine, telephone, radio, and calculators.
  • Ability to Stand and Sit: Up to 10 hours per day.
  • Ability to Move or Lift Equipment: Up to 25 pounds.
  • Ability to Work Varied Hours and Days: Up to 11 hours per day, including opening and closing shifts.
